Philadelphia 76ers
Vegas Over/Under: 42.5
Fromal’s Record Projection: 40-42 The Bet: Hammer the under The Philadelphia 76ers seem on track to one day. However, let’s not by expecting too much, too 16, make an air of disappointment.
Vegas, likely capitalizing on the excitement that surrounds all the future celebrities, is already doing so. Betting below is just one of the simplest sports bets of this year.
Joel Embiid isn’t guaranteed to keep healthy. Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons have played in a combined zero games. The remainder of the roster is laden with upside down, but they’re by no means sure to break through and produce strongly positive benefits in 2017-18.
Lest we forget, the Sixers went 28-54 during the 2016-17 year old. Should you bet the above, you’re counting on a minimum of a 15-game improvement, and that’s quite a lot to ask.
To the contrary, disagreements exist of course. Philadelphia had so many turnover problems last year that counting on two rookie playmakers to lead the charge is not actually an issue. It won 28 games with Embiid only suiting up 31 times, and the two numbers are likely to trend up moving forward, particularly with more thickness surrounding the talented center.
But incremental advancement is still a lot more likely than a monumental jump from deep in the lottery to above .500.
